When Jimmy Page declares you his favourite band then you know you have to be doing something right and in the ex-Mothers of Invention guitarist, Lowell George, Little Feat had a singer, songwriter and leader that elevated the band to a level of musicianship that few of their contemporaries could even hope to live with. While "Willin" was the track that brought Little Feat into being (regardless of which version of the legend you believe is behind George leaving Frank Zappa) it was on their third album that the track Dixie Chicken really defined the Little Feat sound- which is why we pay tribute to it with this rather cool Dixie Chicken T-shirt.
