It's 1995 and for the first time since the 60s when it was The Beatles vs The Rolling Stones, there is a really battle of the bands. Genuine heavyweight bands taking on each other against the backdrop or Cool Britannia and Britpop. Although Blue won the chart battle, it is a shame they won it with an almost comedy single when the rest of the catalogue was so impressive. Either way, it was a great time and although I was firmly in the Oasis camp back then, with the passing of the years I'm more than happy to call it a draw as Oasis may have been the rock stars, Blur have added a diversity to their canon that even Noel couldn't deny.
