Deep Purple inspired Highway Star Motor Oil
Our products are not authorised merchandise nor are they endorsed by the artists
I know song writers come across their inspiration, lyrics and riffs in all sorts of strange ways, but when Ritchie Blackmore and Ian Gillan wrote the beginnings of Highway Star back in the early 70s, by their own admission it was gobbledegook with Gillan's andom words sung over Blackmoore's simple riff. Not the most auspicious start to one of the most iconic songs by one of rock's most iconic bands. It's themes make it an obvious contender for the ultimate driving song, but it is so much greater than to be merely consigned to those dreadful Fathers Day compilation CDs. So buy your dad (or yourself) this Deep Purple inspired T-shirt instead.
