Jimi Hendrix inspired The Blue Flame

Everyone knows the story of Keith Richards' girlfriend being so impressed with a young guitarist playing the mid-60s New York club scene that she recommended him to Stones manager, Andrew Oldham (who for some reason wasn't impressed) and to Animals bass player, Chas Chandler (who thankfully was). The night that Chandler saw Hendrix in Cafe Wha? (then owned by Van Halen's Dave Lee Roth's uncle) has passed into folklore, but what has been forgotten is that Jimi Hendrix was in a band at the time. That band was The Blue Flame and is what we remember with this great alternative to regular Jimi Hendrix T-shirts.
