Before I went to see the revitalised new instalment of the Mad Max franchise I read a review that described it as "like watching someone else play Mario Kart for 2 hours with the sound turned right up". I think the reviewer didn't mean it kindly, but my reaction was "cool, sound great" and that's what it was. Naturally as a bunch of gnarly old rockers it was the Doof Warrior strapped the the front of the Doof Wagon (anyone up on their Australian slang will get the extra level of the joke) like a mutant mascot and played by Kiwi musician, Iota that caught our attention (although if it was me casting then it should have been Devin Townsend as they wouldhave had twice the crazy, all the talent and no need for makeup)
