Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers just sound like summer. I suppose that that is what happens when you hail from Florida, but there is something so beautifully happy about Tom Petty, even when he is singing about American Girls throwing themselves of balconies. But it is his tale of the rise & fall of the rock n' roll dream that provides the inspiration for this Tom Petty T-shirt. Into The Great Wide Open and it's anti-hero, Eddie Rebel. Tom Petty may have borrowed the line from The Replacements, but "Rebel Without A Clue" is still one of my favourite lines in rock n' roll.
